Ivermectin is a medication that is used to treat a variety of infections

Ivermectin is a medication used to treat parasites such as roundworms and hookworms. It also treats diseases caused by these parasites, including malaria, dengue fever, and schistosomiasis.

According to the World Health Organization, Ivermectin is the first drug approved for treatment of malaria-caused anaemia. Ivermectin is also used in treatment of other parasitic diseases as well as for prevention of recurrence of disease iffered by certain types of malaria parasites .

Ivermectin suppresses the parasite's ability to grow in the body and make eggs. Thus, it kills the parasites. Its effectiveness depends on how quickly it kills the parasite, but it usually takes several days.

Ivermectin can be administered orally or nasally (intramuscularly). Ivermectin is often given as a single dose at night before bedtime. The drug can be taken 3 times daily in divided doses or 2 times daily in divided doses; however, many experts recommend morning dosing every day apart from morning dosing with ivermectin .

The standard dosage for ivermectin , 5 mg/kg/day (or 5 mg/kg given in divided doses) for children less than 1 year old, and 40 mg/kg/day (or 40 mg/kg given in divided doses) for children 1 year older than 1 year old; however, many experts advocate morning dosing every day apart from morning dosing with ivermectin .

In addition to its use against parasites , Ivermectin can also prevent pregnancy when used during pregnancy and lactation

It is available as a pill, an ointment, or an injection

The scientific community and the public at large are still waiting for a definitive answer on how Ivermectin (ivermectin) affects the reproductive tract, as well as the brain, from its injection (intramuscular injection) into the animal or human.

Injection of the drug into an individual animal, or human, is intended to prevent infection in which there exists parasites in the body. The parasite itself may be found in any area of the body where it can survive and reproduce. In this case, we’re talking about worms of some kind that are known to infect certain mammals such as dogs or pigs. The injection procedure involves puncturing an organ so that there are no parasites present. This allows blood to be drawn, thus allowing a blood level of antibodies against parasites to be determined prior to delivery of Ivermectin into the organism’s system. It has been claimed that this is a safer procedure than other methods such as oral administration of ivermectin because there is no risk of accidental overdose due to bacteria being present in their digestive tract after this procedure.

[1] Preliminary studies have shown that when given intravenously (into an animal), it does not provide any protection from parasites being transferred from an infected host.

[2] However when given orally, it does prevent transmission in cats.

[3] When given intramuscularly (into a human), Ivermectin does not prevent transmission within a host.

[4] When administered intranasally into an animal

[5] Ivermectin does provide protection from the parasite being transferred from infected hosts.
